Instagram, a Meta-owned messaging app, is popular because it allows users to share images, videos, and reels while following pages of interest. Instagram introduced a new feature earlier this year that will enable users to hide views and likes. Here's how to hide likes and comments on your own and other people's posts.

Hiding likes and views on other people's posts is a simple and easy process. To do so, go to your Instagram profile, tap the three-line menu in the top right corner of the page, and select the 'Settings option. Then navigate to the 'Privacy' section and select Posts. Hide like, and view counts would be an option. When you enable it, you will no longer see the number of likes or views on other people's posts.


Instagram users can also choose whether or not others see the number of likes and views on their posts. If you want to hide the likes and opinions on a post before sharing it, go to the Advanced Settings section at the bottom and select 'Hide like and view counts on this post.

Instagram now allows users to verify their age in three ways: by uploading I.D., recording a video selfie, or asking a friend to confirm. In addition, when users under 18 update their date of birth on the platform, the feature is enabled. "While verified accounts are a safety net, requiring social media users to submit identity cards containing not only personal but sensitive personal information is not a welcome move."
